Election Day is Tuesday November 6th. Polls are open from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. across Jefferson County. For most voters, you must vote on 11/6 at the polling place for your precinct. To help make a plan to vote, you can find your polling location here.

You can vote absentee for many reasons, but most commonly if you will be outside Jefferson County on Elction Day. More information about voting absentee, both by mail and in-house, can be found here.

If you qualify to vote by absentee ballot, you can do that now by requesting a mail-in ballot (deadline October 30), or by voting in-person at the Jefferson County Clerk’s Election Center, at 7th Street and Ormbsy Ave. Third Floor at one of the following dates and times:

Monday – Friday

  • Today through November 5, 2018
    8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.


  • October 20, 2018               9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • October 27, 2018               9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • November 3, 2018              9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Please make sure you make a plan and take the time to vote, and make sure a friend or loved one does, too.
