Planning, Zoning & Annexation– Tuesday, August 14th 1:30pm
The Committee has the following items on its agenda for review:

Road Closings:

  • A portion of Reamers Road East of LaGrange Road (Case No. 17STREETS1018).
  • An unimproved alley North of East Hill Street, East of South Brook Street and West of an unnamed alley (Case No. 18STREETS1008).

Zoning Changes:

  • 11333 Bardstown Road and 11705 Waterford Road (Case No. 17ZONE1081).

  • A Resolution requesting the Louisville/ Jefferson County Planning Commission to adopt a regulation providing for appeals to the Metro Council in Subdivision Cases.
  • A Resolution requesting the Louisville/Jefferson County Planning Commission to review the Land Development Code Regulations with regard to the preservation of trees and to increase the perimeter tree preservation requirements.

Public Works, Facilities, Transportation &Accessibility – Tuesday, August 14th 3:00pm

The Committee will hold a special discussion on Right of Way: Furniture, Debris and Bird Scooters with Al Andrews of Metro Public Works and Assets and Jeff O’Brien of Develop Louisville.

The Committee has the following item on its agenda for review: a Resolution authorizing the Mayor to accept $88,080 of grant funding from the Commonwealth of Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet for the application of a rubber-modified asphalt overlay project administered by the Department of Public Works and Assets.

Labor, Economic Development & Contracts – Tuesday, August 14th 4:00pm

  • A Resolution ratifying and approving a collective bargaining agreement between Louisville Metro Government and American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees AFL-CIO, Local 2629 (AFSCME), concerning non-probationary, non-supervisory, regular employees of Metro Government for whom AFSME is recognized as the exclusive bargaining representative in the following Metro Government Departments: Public Health and Wellness, Office of Resilience and Community Services, Economic Development – Air Pollution Control District, Metro Animal Services, Metro Corrections, Youth Detention Services, Codes and Regulations – Construction Review, Develop Louisville, Information Technology, Revenue Commission and the Office of Management and Budget – Finance (Billing)

Government Oversight, Audit & Ethics – Tuesday, August 14th 5:00pm
The Committee has the following items on its agenda for review:

  •  An Ordinance creating a subchapter of the Metro Code of Ordinances to provide a report to the Louisville Metro Council from the Mayor on any expenditure over $10,000 for the entertainment of guests at an event.
  • A Resolution supporting an amendment to KRS 67C.103 by the Kentucky General Assembly regarding special elections to fill vacancies for Metro Council Seats.

Community Affairs & Housing – Wednesday, August 15th 1:30pm

The Committee has the following item on its agenda for review: a Resolution honoring Arthur M. Walters by dedicating the corner of South 16th Street and West Broadway to be named “Arthur M. Walters Way” in his honor.

Public Safety – Wednesday, August 15th 3:30pm

The Committee will continue its special discussion on the Louisville Metro Police Department Explorer Program Internal Investigation Final Report Review with Dickinson Wright.

The Committee has the following items on its agenda for review:

  • An Ordinance amending the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 Operating Budget by amending the language related to the $60,000 grant to the The Urban League for housing rehabilitation to Jesus & A Job Group to be administered by The Office for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods
  • A Resolution supporting an amendment to KRS 65.870 by the Kentucky General Assembly regarding local regulation of firearms and ammunition by consolidated local governments.
  • A Resolution supporting the creation of a new section of KRS Chapter 527 by the Kentucky General Assembly to prohibit the unlawful storage of a firearm.

Appropriations – Wednesday, August 15th 4:30pm
The Committee will review grant requests for Neighborhood Development Funds and Capital Infrastructure Funds of the 26 districts of the Louisville Metro Council.

Appointments – Thursday, August 16th 3:00pm
The Committee will review proposed appointments to the Boards and Commissions of Metro Government.

Budget – Thursday, August 16th 4:30pm
The Committee has the following items on its agenda for review:

  • An Ordinance transferring $26,000 from Neighborhood Development Fund (District 6) to Louisville Metro Council General Operations (District 6).
  • An Ordinance transferring $100,000 from Neighborhood Development Fund (District 7) to the Capital Infrastructure Fund (District 7).
  • An Ordinance transferring $10,700 from Neighborhood Development Fund (District 6) to Capital Infrastructure Fund (District 6).
  • An Ordinance transferring $50,000 from Neighborhood Development Fund (District11) to Capital Infrastructure Fund (District 11).
  • An Ordinance amending the Fiscal Year 2009-10, 2010-11, 2016-17, and the 2018-19 Capital Budgets for Louisville Metro Government by reallocating $169,255.16 of Public Works and Assets and Parks and Recreation Capital Funds.
