For 56 years, Kentucky Shakespeare, a not-for-profit charitable organization, professional theater company, and the oldest free Shakespeare Festival in the United States has presented free Shakespeare in Central Park in Old Louisville during the summer.
We’ll again be presenting in Central Park all summer, but we’re also touring to 23 other public locations this spring with free Shakespeare! Since 2014, we’ve been touring the community with our “Shakespeare in the Parks” program, and this spring, we’re delighted to visit Water Tower Park with JULIUS CAESAR – 4/29/17 at 1:00PM (the alternate rain space will be inside the Water Tower.) We’re grateful for the opportunity to serve your neighborhood, thanks to Councilwoman Angela Leet, District 7 and Councilman Bill Hollander, District 9 and district residents.
This powerful and entertaining 6-actor, 85-minute adaptation of Shakespeare’s political thriller is jam-packed with issues that resonate in our world today. So, grab a blanket, chair, and/or a picnic and join us for this free community event!
If you are unable to attend this event at Water Tower Park thank we hope that you will take in one of the touring productions throughout the Louisville area this spring. Dates and times are listed below.
