Today, the Louisville Metro Council’s Community Affairs, Housing, Health and Education Committee held a special meeting to honor outstanding Louisville residents and volunteers as part of its 15th Annual Black History Month Program. Congratulations to our District 7 honoree, Rob H. King III.
Rob has been a Northwestern Mutual Financial Adviser for 12 years. He started his career after graduating from Centre College with a degree in economics. He has lived in Louisville for the majority of his life and is a proud graduate of Dupont Manual High School.
A firm believer in giving back to the community, Rob has served Louisville in many capacities. He has performed various roles with the Fund for the Arts, including Past Chairman of NeXt!, ,and co-founder of the“35 under 35” Leadership Campaign. He served 6 years as a Board member of the Louisville Ballet, where he held many roles including the Treasurer and Vice President. Rob has served on the Centre College Alumni Board and was named Centre College’s Young Associate of the Year in 2013. He has served on the Scout Reach Board for the Boy Scouts of America, and was recognized by NFocus magazine as one of Louisville’s “New faces of Philanthropy”in 2012.
Rob was a member of the 2013 Leadership Louisville Ignite Class and worked jointly with the Kids Center for Pediatric Therapies. Currently Rob serves as a board member of the Crimson Mission which helps to support Dupont Manual High School.
